Imagine! A microtome weighing under 5 lbs. That can be moved out of or into the cryostat in 10 seconds. The cryostat itself weighs only 81 lbs. And uses as much bench space as a large microtome.
All professional facilities for surgical pathology are provided, including auto-defrost, freezer bar, digital displays for temperatures, automatic advance and anti-roll device. Unique features include the magnetic holder for our semi-disposable blades. These special blades are restroppable.
The Micro Cryostat 2212 is “open top”. There is no door or window. When not in use, drop in the insulated plug.
Chamber Temperature: Ambient to -30 C, thermostatically controlled; Digital display for reading and setting temperatures.
Freezer Bar (quick freezer): To -40 C, with digital display.
Defrost: 24 hour quartz clock with 150 hr. Autocharge battery buffer.
Chamber: Stainless steel, one detachable storage shelf. Drain and trap are in warm zone. Insulated “Night Plug” provided.
Cabinet: Fiberglass shell. Corrosion-proofed or anodized metal cassis.
