Micro-Cut H1200 Vibrating Microtome
Sectioning without Embedding or Freezing
The vibrating principle enables sectioning of fresh or fixed tissue without the need for specimen embedding or freezing, thus minimizing the loss of enzyme activity and fine structural damage normally associated with these processes. Utilizing the vibrating blade the Micro-Cut H1200 microtome takes sections in the range of 10 micrometers to 1000 micrometers. The blade movement of the Micro-Cut runs on precisely engineered crossed-roller linear bearings. The system ensures no vertical blade movement and enables the entire blade width to be used for wider, thinner and distortion-free sections. The specimen stage accepts specimens up to 40mm in diameter and the blade has full 40mm of forward travel. For small pieces of tissue the forward movement can be limited to 35, 30 or 25mm. Blade return is automatic after each cutting cycle.
