The heart of the series is the 5040 microtome.
•5040 is constructed of virtually rustproof materials and requires minimal maintenance. Regular lubrication is not required--even at -80 C.
•Rigid knife holder included as standard equipment accommodates a wide range of microtome knives and disposable blade systems.
•Standard microtome configuration 50mm maximum specimen size. Modification available for 55mm x75mm.
•Anti-roll plate is designed to reposition accurately against the knife after section collection.
•Total sectioning range of 0.20 to 300 um accomplished by five interchangeable advances.
•Knife temperature. Every OTF cryostat is supplied with accessories which allow the knife to be cooled to about -70 C
