New Steiner kit is used to detect spirochetes, Legionella, Helicobacter, Donovan bodies by developing specific attachment of silver on the organisms. Unlike most traditional steiner methods, the new IMEB Steiner kit does not use Uranyl Nitrate in the procedure. The result is black development with a yellow to light brown background.
