The Shandon Consul automatic coverslipper sets new standards in simplicity of use, versatility and safety to achieve high quality coverslipping.
Slide-mounted specimens are automatically coverslipped with high precision and consistency using routinely accepted coverslips and commercially available mountants.
Up to 40 stained specimens at a time can be loaded for coverslipping. For maximum thoughput and convenience, slides can also be transferred directly from Shandon Varistain XY or 24 position automatic slide stainers.
The compact, modern design incorporates an integral front panel with touch-sensitive controls providing easy access to all functions. An integral, tinted protective cover interlocks during operation to ensure complete safety yet allows the process to be viewed thoughout.
Operators are also protected by a built-in filter which minimizes exposure to xylene fumes. The Shandon Consul-so safe, efficient and easy to use, that once loaded and programmed, you can confidently ‘walkaway’ and concentrate on more demanding tasks.
