This Optimum Cutting Temperature (O.C.T.) Formulation of water-soluble glycols and resins provides a convenient specimen matrix for cryostat sectioning at temperatures of -10 C and below. Leaves no residue on slides during staining procedure, eliminating undesirable background staining.
