Optional Step if You’d Like to Remove Your Coverslip

Dip the slide in xylene for
30 seconds before mounting.

Next, proceed with your standard
mounting process.

If You Remove a Cured Coveslip

1. Soak the slide in acetone for 1–24 hours(longer = easier removal).

2. Use a microtome blade or a  scalpel to gently lift off the coverslip.

3. Proceed with your usual decolorization and re-staining steps.
