The Leica RM2135 is a universal rotary microtome and is designed for use in routine laboratories. The Leica RM 2135 offers an extremely smooth and easy turn of the hand wheel, which creates a uniform stroke for excellent, perfectly stretched sections. The microtome is complete with a disposable blade system, or a standard knife holder/cassette speed clamp is included.
The Leica RM2135 microtome is a reliably robust refurbished histology instrument and piece of refurbished pathology equipment.
- Precision Mechanical Feed System: Equipped with zero-backlash, maintenance-free cross-roller bearings for both vertical and horizontal specimen feed. This guarantees uniform stroke movement, superior stability, and chatter-free sectioning.
- Patented Gravitational Force Compensation: Features an innovative mass-balanced system utilizing a pre-stressed spring. This mechanism offsets centrifugal forces during the sectioning cycle, ensuring an incredibly smooth, easy handwheel turn that minimizes repetitive motion strain for lab technicians.
- Ergonomic Layout: Designed with user-comfort in mind, featuring an ergonomically positioned coarse feed wheel and integrated hand rest to encourage stress-free working conditions during high-volume workloads.
- Enhanced Lab Safety: Incorporates a robust dual-safety locking mechanism. The quick-locking lever secures the handwheel safely in any position, while the standard 12 o’clock locking system automatically locks the specimen head in its upper limit.
- Integrated Trimming Function: Built-in mechanical trimming allows users to rapidly transition between two steps (10 µm and 30 µm) for efficient block preparation before fine sectioning.
- Enclosed, Durable Housing: Features a totally enclosed, dust-proof housing that protects the inner micrometer mechanics from paraffin waste, ensuring a low-maintenance, long service life.
- Section Thickness Settings: Adjustable from 1 µm to 60 µm
- Horizontal Specimen Feed: 30 mm
- Vertical Specimen Stroke: 70 mm (69mm sectioning range without retraction, accommodating large samples)
- Specimen Orientation: 8° (x, y, z axes) with anti-tilt feature
- Specimen Retraction: Integrated standard retraction (can be disengaged if preferred
- Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) routine staining
- Immunohistochemistry (IHC) and Immunofluorescence (IF)
- In-situ Hybridization (ISH)
